Your association's own community, without Facebook
Available
An internal member feed where your members post, comment, and react, inside your own platform, not in a Facebook group you don't own.
In brief
Community is a member-driven activity feed inside the association's platform. Every signed-in member can post, comment, and react, while the board moderates. The content is members-only and is never shown publicly or indexed by search engines.
The conversation about your association shouldn't live in a Facebook group
Most associations keep their internal conversation somewhere they don't own themselves. The messages sit in a Facebook group, a Messenger thread, or a Google document, and the reach, the data, and the old posts all belong to someone else. If a member leaves the service, the conversation goes with them, and the board has no real control over what gets written or who is reading along.
Community is meant as the answer to exactly that: an internal member feed inside the association's own platform, where members post, comment, and react, without it living on an external channel. The feature is designed but not yet built. This page describes what it will be able to do, so you can form a view of it before it arrives.
A feed driven by the members themselves
The idea behind Community is that it shouldn't be yet another channel only the board fills. Every signed-in member will be able to post, comment on each other's posts, and react, so the feed lives off what members themselves choose to share, from photos after a match to a call for a partner at the next training session.
Precisely because it is meant to be the members' own space, everyone is included the moment the feature is switched on. This is not a notice board members can only read. The ambition is a living feed where the everyday life of the association becomes a conversation among the people who are part of it.
Members-only, never public
An internal feed has to be usable freely, without anyone worrying whether it might end up on a search engine. That's why Community is designed to be closed: the content will only be visible to signed-in members and will neither be shown publicly nor indexed by Google.
It's a deliberate difference from an open group. Members should be able to share photos, ask questions, and talk together confident that it stays inside the association. For a board that takes personal data seriously, it is essential that the internal conversation is not left accessible to everyone on the web.
The board can moderate
An open member feed comes with a responsibility for the tone, and that responsibility should rest with the association itself. Community is designed so the board can moderate: step in on a post that doesn't belong, and keep the conversation civil, without an outside company setting the rules.
The aim is a balance where members are free to write, while the board has the tools it needs to handle whatever might come up. It's the association's own space, and it's the association itself that sets the frame.
Switch it on when you're ready
Not every association wants an internal feed, and a community that goes unused is worse than none at all. That's why Community is meant as something you switch on yourself, when you judge the association to be ready for it, and can just as easily leave off.
Because the feature isn't built yet, you can't put it to use today. But when it arrives, it will be part of the same platform you already run the association from, so you won't have to juggle yet another disconnected tool alongside your member register, activities, and finances.
Own the conversation
Your association's dialogue lives with you, not in a Facebook group where you own neither the data nor who can see along.
Every member on board from day one
The community is part of the membership. No one has to create another account or be on the right social network.
The board can moderate
Pin important posts, hide or delete inappropriate content, and keep a good tone, right in the feed.
Switch it on when you're ready
Community is a module you turn on per association. Prefer to keep it closed? Just leave it off.
